Who this suits
Off-grid duty at small scale: a cottage, a workshop, a borehole controller, a cabin, a backup circuit that does not need to be tied to the grid. 3kW is enough for lights, plugs, a fridge and small tools, not for a household with electric hot water and an oven.
Before you buy, check
- This is off-grid, not hybrid. It is not designed to work alongside a grid connection and feed back. If you have a grid supply and want to lower a bill, a hybrid inverter is the correct product.
- Your largest single load. 3kW is the ceiling. A kettle and a heater together will exceed it.
- Battery and array. Off-grid means everything comes from your own generation and storage, on the worst day of the year, so size both for winter rather than for average conditions.
What else you will need
A battery sized for full autonomy, panels and mounting, a charge path suited to the inverter, DC and AC protection, and realistically a generator or a grid connection as a fallback if the load matters.
