Huawei SUN2000-40KTL-M3 40kW Three Phase String Inverter

A 40kW three-phase grid-tie string inverter from Huawei’s Smart PV Controller range, for commercial and industrial rooftops that offset daytime load. This is a grid-tie inverter, not a hybrid: it does not run a battery and gives no backup during an outage.

What this model does

• 40kW rated AC output (44,000VA maximum apparent power) on 230/400/480Vac three phase, 57.8A rated output current, 63.8A maximum.
• 4 MPP trackers across 8 inputs, so a commercial array can be split eight ways across roof sections, pitches and orientations.
• Maximum PV input 1,100V, MPPT range 200 to 1,000V, 40A short-circuit current per MPPT.
• 98.7% peak, 98.4% European.
• Fuse-free design with string-level fault monitoring, so there are no DC fuses to blow, source or replace on a roof.
• Arc fault protection plus Type II surge arresters on both DC and AC, insulation resistance detection and residual current monitoring.
• Integrated PID recovery, which reverses potential-induced degradation in the modules rather than just avoiding it.
• 43kg, IP66, natural convection, so no fans to fail or service. Under 5.5W overnight. Amphenol Helios H4 DC connectors.
• Monitoring via FusionSolar, with RS485 standard and optional WLAN, Ethernet or 4G dongles.
• Certified to NRS 097-2-1, the standard your municipality will ask for on an SSEG application.
