Huawei SUN2000-15K-MB0 15kW Three Phase Smart Energy Controller

A 15kW three-phase hybrid inverter from Huawei’s MB0 range, for a large home or small commercial site that wants solar by day and battery storage behind it. Huawei calls it a Smart Energy Controller rather than a string inverter, because it manages PV, battery and grid together.

What this model does

• 15kW rated AC output (16,500VA apparent), 21.7A rated output current at 400V, 23.9A maximum, on 380/400/415V three phase.
• Takes up to 22.5kWp of panels, Huawei’s recommended maximum, so you can over-panel comfortably past the inverter rating.
• Battery ready. Two ESS terminals for the LUNA2000-5/10/15-S0 or LUNA2000-7/14/21-S1 ranges, 600 to 980V, charging at up to 21kW on one string or 25kW on two, and discharging at up to 16.5kW.
• 2 MPP trackers across 4 inputs, 30A per tracker on two strings. Full-load MPPT range 410 to 800V, operating range 200 to 1,000V, maximum PV input 1,100V.
• Up to 3 units can be paralleled with Smart String ESS, so the system can grow to 45kW without being rebuilt.
• 98.4% peak efficiency, 98.0% European weighted.
• Arc fault protection, Type II DC and AC surge protection, insulation resistance detection and residual current monitoring.
• Optimizer ready (SUN2000-450W-P2, 600W-P, MERC-1100W-P and 1300W-P) for shaded or multi-pitch roofs.
• 21kg, 546 x 460 x 228mm, IP66, smart air cooling. Monitoring via FusionSolar over built-in WLAN, with optional Ethernet or 4G.
• Certified to NRS 097-2-1, the standard your municipality will ask for on an SSEG application.
