Who this suits
A 635W N-Type TOPCon bi-facial module for installations where you want maximum output per square metre of roof. N-Type cells generally hold their output better at high temperature and degrade more slowly over their life than PERC, which matters on a South African roof in February.
Before you buy, check
- Roof area versus panel count. Fewer, higher-output modules can suit a constrained roof better than more smaller ones. Work in kWp, not panel count.
- String voltage on a cold morning. Confirm open-circuit voltage across your string against the inverter’s maximum DC input.
- Bi-facial gain. The rear face only contributes where light reaches it. On a flush tile mount, treat the rating as the front-face figure.
What else you will need
Mounting rails and clamps rated for a 144-cell module, MC4-compatible DC cabling, DC isolation and surge protection, and an inverter whose MPPT range suits your string layout.
